Goals for 2026

We will carry over our three primary goals from 2025 targeting gaps in the three identified routes.

Election was held. There were no new candidates forthcoming. The following positions were filled. Voting was not required:

  • Chair: Don
  • Vice Chair: Paul
  • DWV LIaison: Peter
  • CNV Liaison: Rhonda, Easton
  • DNV Liaison: Duncan, Michael
  • Rides: Helen
  • Activities: Don
  • Schools: Paul
  • Safety: Fiona
  • BC Ferries: Peter
  • MOTT: Don

Don will be updating the goals map to show improvements from 2025.

IN DNV Spirit Trail work is delayed. Needs pushback.

In CNV Mid Town connector needs to make progress.

We will add the following goals for 2026 Recruitment: Fill the liaison openings for CNV, DNV and DWV

Retention: Develop a "welcome package" to new committee members. Paul met with Volunteer North Shore. We will be posting volunteer opportunities with them.

Elections: Support incumbents with favourable voting records and identify allies from new candidates. Show voting records.


First Nations

No report this month.

CNV 200 Block Esplanade and Chesterfield, Bike lanes being completed. The superstructure for the Casano overpass should be dropped in place this month. Meeting with Staff in January.

District of North Vancouver - Duncan/Stephen/Stewart Duncan sends regrets.

District of West Vancouver - Peter/Mike District needs direction on best approach for route out of Horseshoe Bay. Peter will write a letter with recommendations.

Emphasis is on education fo e scooters and ebikes especially for youth.
