CNV(Rhonda, Easton):

  • R2 bus service will extend to Metrotown in September. Eventually rebrand as BRT(Bus Rapid Transit).
  • Central Lonsdale Great Streets design has been released. Little in the way of AT improvements.
  • Rhonda to meet with staff later in April seeking answers on this and other issues.

  • Decision on Queens Road improvements set for April 17. Approximately Mahon to Westview.
  • Arbour Lynn connector improvements shortly from Mountain Hiway to Arbour Lynn turnoff. Slip lane will remain. Full route implementation to Lynn Valley Town centre delayed to 2027 or 2028.
    • DNV council to discuss adding lane to Mountain Highway to ease bottleneck

  • Duncan has created an AI assist recap of CNV/DNV/DWV Council meetings. This will allow us to easily zero in on pertinent issues.

District of West Vancouver - Peter/Mike

  • A more detailed list of 12 suggested improvements to the wayfinding signage in the vicinity of the north end of the Lions Gate Bridge between Capilano Road and Taylor Way was sent to DWV staff (Sean Sullivan) on 21 March.
  • This week, I received a question about bicycle lockers on the North Shore from the Chair of the DWV Environment Committee. In response, I sent him the TransLink map showing locations of bicycle lockers in Metro Vancouver, which included those at Phibbs Exchange and at the Sea Bus terminal. I also included an excerpt describing bike lockers from the HUB website. I suggested that there may be new bike lockers installed when plans for a BRT terminal at Park Royal North and the upgrading of the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal are implemented.
